WELCOME to Rademeyers
Nestled in the
foothills of the Moreleta Kloof lies one of Pretoria's most
exquisite gems, Rademeyers Restaurant Chapel and Venue Centre.
Dating back to 1880, the rustic farmhouse, its chapel and hall
are steeped in history and small game like zebra, springbuck,
blesbuck and guinea fowl roam freely within this protected
green belt.
Deirdré and
Etienne have revived the estate's stately colonial heritage
with understated but elegant furnishings. Leather upholstered,
wood finished chairs flank carefully set tables draped in fine
damask linen. Crystal glassware, linen napkins and polished
cutlery complete an aesthetic setting; its luxury otherworldly
in a society dotted with rushed and crowded eateries.
Catering to a
sophisticated mature clientele, Rademeyers challenges the
culinary senses. Etienne runs his kitchen with a flair for the
unexpected, serving traditional South African dishes with a
personalized twist. When visiting Rademeyers it is easy to
forget that one is in the heart of the city.
Enjoy dinner
around a wood burning fireplace, or a vintage cognac on the
stoep suspended above a valley of green. Rademeyers will
appeal to the romantic, the connoisseur and the nostalgic, who
want to rekindle a carefree and sensory appealing existence.
